Day 14 | Children with Anxiety: Tizz Kids

Tell us a bit about yourself and/or your business and how you got to where you are today

I have set Tizzkids Up with the hope of helping parents with anxious children to find ways of helping them and giving them the skills to help themselves. Through my blog I explore various issues surrounding anxiety and children, ways to help – evidence based and tried out in real life on my anxious daughter! I am also trained to teach mindfulness to children which comes with so many benefits! Their are many reasons that I have chosen this path. I was an anxious child, my eldest is an anxious child – I am passionate about improving mental health in many areas of life including children’s mental health and perinatal mental health. I am studying for a degree in psychology.

What Wellness rituals do you swear by?

Yoga, self care, nutritional, finding an exercise you love, and of course mindfulness!

What are your tips for incorporating Wellness in to a busy schedule?

Set small achievable goals. You can do anything for 15 minutes at a time! Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a day. Learn to breathe!
