In it’s simplest form, hypnobirthing teaches tools and techniques to encourage you to use mind over matter during pregnancy and childbirth, to encourage a calm and easier labour.
We do this using relaxation techniques, gentle massage, breathing exercises and building a deeper understanding about the birthing body and how to work with it, not against it. Your birth partner is integral to this process and we work closely together to ensure you will feel supported throughout.
A lot of my couples are fearful of losing control or anxious about giving birth, seeing it as simply something to get through in order to meet their baby. Yet, once we have worked together they leave feeling confident and even a little excited about their birth.
My group sessions are taught from my home to ensure a comfortable and relaxed environment. Group courses are 4 weekly on a Tuesday evening or 2 weekly on Sundays. Private classes can be taught in your home and I travel across Herts, Beds, Bucks & London.
In addition, I run Pregnancy Relaxation classes in Tring so you can either practice your skills and meet other local mums-to-be or have a taster session so you can see that the Hypno part of Hypnobirthing is very different to how people perceive it.
